Staff Data Engineer
Data is the lifeblood of every computer vision startup, and we have a lot of data. As a data engineer at Augmodo, you will be responsible for building pipelines for large amounts of video data for both realtime computer vision systems directly touching the customer as well as extensive training systems for our advanced models. All while being cost efficient given the scale we work at.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for computer vision models
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets of images and videos
- Work with computer vision engineers to design and implement mapping and recognition pipelines
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advances in computer vision and data engineering
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality computer vision products
Experience
- Master's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or a similar language
- Familiarity with computer vision frameworks, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience with data labeling tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Senior Computer Vision Engineer
Mapping is the core of connecting bits to atoms for spatial computing, and is at the foundation of Augmodo. As a Senior Computer Vision Mapping Engineer, you will be a key player in developing and refining our localization and mapping systems. Our methods fit at the intersection of geometry and NNs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for localization and mapping using visual data.
- Develop and maintain robust and scalable systems for processing large-scale 3D point clouds and image datasets.
- Contribute to the development of novel computer vision techniques for pose estimation in semi-static environments
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate and optimize mapping algorithms on our robotic platforms.
- Evaluate and benchmark the performance of mapping systems in various environments.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in computer vision and robotics.
Experience
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in computer vision with a focus on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping).
- Have experience with NeRFs, Gaussian Splatting, or other methods at the intersection of geometry and NNs.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Experience with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV and PCL.
- Familiarity with Linux development environments and version control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Senior Machine Learning Engineer
At Augmodo, we're revolutionizing the retail industry with AI-powered product recognition. We're seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and help us build the future of retail analytics. You will be responsible for developing and deploying cutting-edge machine learning models that can accurately identify and categorize products at scale, even in challenging retail environments. This role requires a deep understanding of computer vision, deep learning, and large-scale data processing.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for product recognition, classification, and retrieval.
- Optimize model performance for accuracy, speed, and scalability.
- Work with large datasets of images and videos to train and evaluate models.
- Develop and implement data augmentation and preprocessing techniques to improve model robustness.
- Collaborate with data engineers to build efficient data pipelines for model training and deployment.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in computer vision and machine learning.

Experience

Senior Frontend Engineer
We can have the best data and insights, but our customer’s first experience with them is through how intuitive and useful the frontend. As a frontend engineer at Augmodo, you will be responsible for enhancing our SpatialView dashboard for both retailers and brands. There are many customer workflows given the number of teams that touch our data, and each need to have an intuitive experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and AI researchers to introduce groundbreaking features and research abilities globally.
- Develop efficient and reusable front-end systems that empower complex web applications.
- Plan and implement essential front-end infrastructure for building, testing, and deploying our products.
- Integrate with the product design team, providing support for feature development initiatives.
- Write front-end production code for vital features on our roadmap, emphasizing software engineering aspects such as API integration, performance optimization, and overall front-end architecture.
- Work closely with world-class product designers to prototype and refine early interface concepts.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in design engineering, front-end development, UI Engineering, or a comparable role.
- Proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, and contemporary front-end frameworks like React.js.
- A keen eye for visual and interaction nuances, with strong judgment regarding what constitutes an exceptional user experience.
- A portfolio featuring innovative interaction designs and high-quality front-end implementations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience with design systems, accessibility standards, and performance-optimized front-ends.
